How to Lengthen The Use of Your Kids Bicycles

kids bicyclesWhen it comes to being as economical as possible we want to make sure that the life span of the objects we buy are viable enough to keep around for a couple of years. The same goes for the toys and objects you buy for your children. When looking at purchasing kid’s bicycles make sure that you buy from a supplier who gives you the ability to lengthen the use of your kid’s bicycles.

  1. Purchase an add-on

With specific manufacturers of kid’s bikes you will find that some will provide an optional seat that will lengthen the time the bicycle can be used. For instance, with Strider Bikes, we sell an elongated seat paddle. This can increase the length of the seat for three inches. This means that your child will be able to use the bicycle for at least a couple of more months.

  1. Keep it in a secure place

A lot of children and parents leave their kids bicycles in the rain. Don’t do this. By leaving your bicycle in the rain it can actually cause your bicycle to rust or break quicker. Always leave it in a secure place that is dry. If you don’t want to bring the bicycle into your home you can always leave it in the garage or under a covered patio area.

  1. Speak to the manufacturer

Why not speak to the manufacturer of the bike and ask them for helpful hints and tips that can help extend the life time of your bicycle. This way even when your child is finished with the bicycle, you can always keep the bike until your next child is old enough to ride or you can donate it.

You can extend the life time of your kids bicycles with these three easy hints, making your purchase more worthwhile.
