Teach a kid to ride a bike properly without the hangups
Teaching a kid to ride a bike is simple if you have the correct tools. Put in the training wheels, a dash of patience and a splash of pain (your kids WILL fall) and it can be done within a few days. Weaning your children off the training wheels will be a lot more difficult. This dependency created by the wheels will shock and maybe even alarm you.
So, if you’re thinking of better ways on how to teach a kid to ride a bike, then I’ve got a solution. Think about the reasons that make it incredibly difficult for your kids to master the bike. Pedals, for example! Kids focus all of their time and energy on the pedals instead on focusing on their balance or co-ordination.
If you read a lot of good parenting books, you’ll realize that pediatricians put an incredible emphasis in promoting your children’s motor-skills early on in life. By giving them the training wheels to fall back on, you’re basically taking away the perfect opportunity to let them expand on their motor-skills.
The key to solving this specific problem is to take away the pedals. Strider Sports has achieved this goal. They created a bike, without pedals, which actually benefits your children in the long run.
By taking away the pedals, you’re finally putting your child in a situation which they can control and master. Surely, they’ll be a little skeptical about going onto the bike at first, but once they’re in the swing of it, you’ll be surprised you even thought about training wheels for your kids.
But where can you buy a bike like this? Do they even exist?
Strider Sports is selling what they ingeniously call the ‘PreBike’. Without pedals, all your child has to focus on is to improve their motor-skills while having fun and exercising in a beneficial way.
You’ll see a dramatic difference in your children in no time.
